CLIMATE CHANGE

Opening night 1st February 2012

In the first exhibition of its kind, nine of Australia's leading artists will take on the role of problem solvers in the highly anticipated show, Climate Change, which will explore the power of art to cut through political dialogue and scientific debate.

The exhibition will feature large scale works by John Olsen, Daniel Smith, Deborah Walker, John Forrest, E.L.K., JKB Fletcher, Michael Peck, Stormie Mills, Ben Howe and Vincent Fantauzzo. Their creative process was filmed over several months as part of a long term documentary by award winning film maker Alan Woodruff and Deakin University Professor, Ann McCulloch. The documentary will be previewed at Metro Gallery before its international screening in New York and a tour of regional Australian in late 2012.

The show runs from 17th – 30th July, with the winner announced on 26th July.

In diesem Monat präsentiert euch die assoonas gallery: Ben Howe - einen Schablonen-Künstler aus Australien.
Dieser Verrückte schafft es immer nach Hamburg zu kommen, wenn hier Winter und in Australien Sommer ist... Unter dem Titel:"schism overwrite" präsentiert er seine neuesten Arbeiten und möglicherweise habt ihr auch d...ie Möglichkeit, ihn live bei der Arbeit zu beobachten.
Die Vernissage ist am 13.02.2008 ab 20 Uhr
Die Ausstellung läuft nur bis zum 20.02 also dieses mal nur eine Woche und die
Öffnungszeiten sind wie immer von Mittwoch bis Samstag von 19 - 21 Uhr.

The Conduit exhibition was a big success. We had one month to integrate our practices and responded to each others work and the interior of Brunswick street gallery. The process initiated many unexpected dialogues, as well as those considered, combining the perceptual, spatial, visual and tactile.

Conduit brought together the photographic sculptures of Devika Bilimoria, my own paintings and sculptures, and the installations and sculpture of Horse, Carmen Reid and Beau Emmett.

Following the success of its premiere exhibition, The Pigeon Hole is again opening its doors to the public.
YOU, 1 gigantic warehouse and 14 artists will all meet on Friday the 13th of March in East Brunswick. Floating exhibition walls, flying performers, walk around sculptures - experience the visual, audio, artistic fun-park in between 6pm and 10pm.

Pigeon Hole is a huge, formerly commercial warehouse which has been transformed into a dynamic, self organized artist collective. Responding to a need in the community for dynamic, non commercial establishments, it is a fertile ground for contemporary artists to collaborate, perform, exhibit and exchange new ideas.
Pigeon Hole currently houses the bizarre and inspiring studios of over 14 artists ranging in practice from visual arts, experimental electronic composition and design, to acrobatic physical theatre.

EXHIBITION 9th JAN "Graffscapes"

I am finally having another complete exhibition after months of work. The show will feature my recent "graffscapes" Whilst retaining the original atmosphere of the locations (objects, such as doorways, windows, plumbing, cables and rubbish bins are left where they stand), I use the multitudes of tags, stencils, and posters as triggers for my interpretations.
