EXHIBITION 9th JAN "Graffscapes"

I am finally having another complete exhibition after months of work. The show will feature my recent "graffscapes" Whilst retaining the original atmosphere of the locations (objects, such as doorways, windows, plumbing, cables and rubbish bins are left where they stand), I use the multitudes of tags, stencils, and posters as triggers for my interpretations.

OPENING Friday January 9 at 7pm
Runs untill February 1

New painting

This is my latest work. It is a very new direction as there are virtually no points that anchor it to reality - just impressions on a wall. Usually, there are objects such as a bin, window or doorway for instance, but here I just used the existing patterns, posters and tags as triggers. This is one of the most challenging pieces that ive worked on for some time, as it was difficult to keep an overview of so many elements.... It is quite large, and doesn’t translate well to a small image on a computer screen, but I think it is a success.

New Studio in Melbourne

After returning from Germany and my art space at SKAM, I needed to find somwhere quickly to continue generating my work. I have spent the last few months building my studio in East Brunswick. Here you can see some pictures of me at work in the new space.
